The film is well acted but it does have some flaws to it, other than Brie Larson, Sam Jackson and John C Reilly's characters none of the supporting character's offer much to drive home with. Overall, the film does well in setting up Kong's origin story with alot of cool scenes, impressive direction and screenplay as well as some more lighthearted moments here and there which is a big difference from 2014's "Godzilla" which had a darker and more tense tone to it. Its definitely a much different Kong than the stories that have been told in the past like the 2005 Peter Jackson remake of King Kong which is also a good movie.
